BLOG QUESTION
SCHOOL - The place where we spend the majority of our lives. For the past 12 years I have lived and breathed school. I wake up to make school on time, I stay after school for sports, I get home and do school homework and then wake up to do it all over again wearing the same uniform in the same classrooms, day after day after day. Most of us moan and groan about school and we all have a lot of questions. How can I make it more exciting? How do I make new friends? What sports should I do? Should I stay for seventh form? Let me know your thoughts on school life, and together we can share our ups and downs and beat the school drag!
I THINK
When I was younger I was that kid that would run into the classroom as fast as I could, not bothering to say goodbye to Mum or even wave sometimes. I used to love the classroom, the homework projects and the learning. I thought it was fun! I have now been at high school for four years and am starting to find the whole routine a little tiresome, and miss that first year spice. I mean I do my homework fine, focus in class and get the grades - I just find it boring. So to get me through the year I have started to make plans, things to look forward to - rewards and incentives. I also joined lots of extracurricular activities. This way my mind is off the boredom of school and in GO GO GO mode as I’m too busy to be complaining. I have recently planned an end of year road trip with my friends and we talk about it almost every day - I can’t wait! But watch yourself - make sure you still live in the moment; you don’t want to will your life away!

Now I’m a nail biter, it’s embarrassing and I hate doing it, but can’t stop. I’ve tried everything from the yucky tasting paint to sitting on my hands. Finally, I have found the solution! I said to myself that once my nails are long I will reward myself with a French manicure. A classic, plain look which is a longtime favourite and the most popular choice of nail art.
Denim jackets have made a comeback after the final screening of 'Harry Potter', where Emma Watson looked very cute wearing tailored denim over a coloured hoodie - seems we're giving it a try too! Although, denim jackets can be harsh and masculine so I think it’s best to pair with necklaces. NEWS: Levi's Curve ID jeans is a revolutionary new technology designed to give you the PERFECT fit, so if you’re looking for jeans ask about ‘Curve ID’. Rebecca Black’s new song debuted a wee while ago, proving far more popular than her original song 'Friday' which went viral on the internet and was heavily mocked. The young star has been snapped up by 'American Idol' presenter Ryan Seacrest and things are looking a little brighter for her. Latest song ‘My Moment’ has not been quite as thrashed and she’s also featured in big star Katy Perry’s music video of ‘Last Friday Night’. Just thought I would share with you all my new found favourite song, a classic by New Zealand band six60 called ‘Don’t Forget your Roots’. The music video's got some awesome footage as well, check it out on YouTube! I’m not a fan of Selena Gomez normally but her new song ‘Love You like a Love Song’ is VERY catchy and has a mean-cool music vid. It was also rumoured to be written about current boyfriend Justin Bieber- o la la!
MOVIES
Escapism is a term often used about movies. We watch some movies to escape the life we have and dream about the one we have always wanted. This is very fitting for this month’s movie ‘Sex and the City 2’. It’s every girl's dream life - the shoes, the bags, the dresses, the apartments, the friends. 'Sex and the City 2' was an awesome girly watch - with more shoes and bags and less sex than number one I found it a far more pleasant watch. From the high fashion heels to the trip to Abu Dhabi, this film is filled with your favourite celebs and cliché love stories in hot spot New York. A great blah film that brings your wildest dreams to life on screen, 146 minutes of heaven and diamonds, starring Sarah Jessica Parker (I have her perfume ‘Covet’), Kristin Davies, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon. Comedy/drama/romance! 8/10

Jay-Z and Kanye West’s new album has been slammed on release with copious amounts of negative comments from critics - not a good start for the pair! Robert Pattison aka Edward Cullen has been praised by critics for taking on a more manly persona in his latest role in the 'Twilight' saga. I wonder if this will create more appeal or lose it. A lot of us preferred his softer side. He’s already a blood sucking vampire, how much macho do you need? Many dedicated fans are still mourning singer songwriter Amy Winehouse's death. On a brighter note, things are looking up for Chris Evans, who played lead in the film ‘Captain America’ copy of a 'Marvel' comic, and the famous three from 'Harry Potter' are all deep in work on their next films.
