Totally Versatile

with Versatile Homes Auckland South

When you want a new home built, you want it built quickly and without issues. With the team at Versatile Pukekohe, this can happen, and they have the evidence to prove it.

Recently the team built a four-bedroom, two bathroom house, in just 10 weeks from start to finish. The house was built from 43 prefabricated panels manufactured in off-site building manufacturer Concision’s Rolleston factory over two days. They were then delivered to the Franklin site and installed in a single day. The next ten weeks were spent completing the home to the highest standard before Versatile South Auckland Franchise owner Wenny Lubbers handed over the keys.

Wenny has been in the industry for over 20 years and has a strong background in both building projects and having completed an engineering degree. He feels that his European background gives him the foresight to look at different ways and methods used in European countries that perhaps have not been introduced here yet.

“Europe has many different building methods that have been successful for many years, that New Zealand has not yet, or recently, introduced. I see the benefit of some of them and the Versatile model allows us to engineer and produce these initiatives that will benefit a lot of New Zealand Homes.”

The prefabricated panel build is one such initiative and so is the ventilation system that has been used. Fitted with a sensor in the system, it constantly ventilates the house on a low flow rate and starts up when there is too much moisture in the air and slows down when the air quality is good.

Technology that Lubbers says is both missing and vital in a New Zealand building environment.

Versatile has over 80 plans and numerous variations that can be adapted to any number of bed/bathrooms and to section sizes or can design something from a plan you have in mind.

With a show home locally at Hitchen road in Pokeno, franchise owners, Wenny and his wife Arean are also heavily involved in their community with Wenny a member of the local Onewhero Fire Brigade and both of them involved with preparing meals for the elderly in their local community.

“What I do, building homes for people is a privilege. When it is done, and everyone is happy, the result allows me to give back to the community and this allows me to foster a community spirit within my team.” says Wenny.

That team spirit is evident when you visit the showhome, friendly faces abound and all of Lubbers staff are dedicated to providing the very best they can.

“Like most businesses, it has been a year of adaptation, but I am proud of my team and my business. Everyone was on full wages the whole year through and I know that it has been tough for them. It’s been tough for all of us, but in a community where we give back, I know that I will always receive. My business is what it says it is, Versatile and I will provide you with a home, building, shed or garage that will meet all your needs, just pop in and see our plans and talk to us about your ideas.”
