NEW BUSINESS IN TOWN:

We welcome Santa’s World Store, located in Broadway next door to Dilworth Hearing and our newly opened Maia Ink and Stay Busy Store. Pop in and have a look for all your Christmas Decorations and requirements.

We have a new Barber Store in Averill Street and a Mobile phone and repair company opened in O’Shannessey Street.

So another three new stores into the town

CHRISTMAS IN PAPAKURA:

Lots of fabulous event and things happening in December for Christmas in Papakura Town Centre.

Firstly we have Carols in the Park on Friday 1st of December from 6 pm in Central Park in Papakura. Always a wonderful family night with great singing and entertainment for all. Bring the family, bring a rug and picnic dinner and come and enjoy this free night in town.

The Annual Rotary Santa Parade is being held on Sunday 3rd of December at 3 pm leaving from Central Park and working its way down the Great South Road into Broadway, then down Railway Street and back to Central Park. Bring the kids, look at the floats and enjoy this wonderful community parade in town.

Santa and his Grotto are back too this year and will be operating from the 14th of December until the 22nd of December. Bring the kids in for a FREE photo with Santa and we have a gift wrapping service as well. For a small gold coin donation to our St Johns in Papakura you can have your gifts wrapped all ready for Christmas.

And we have a Scavenger Hunt for the kids which will start on the 1st of December.

CONGRATULATIONS TO E LOCAL ON 15 YEARS OF OPERATION AND 200 EDITIONS:

The Papakura Business Association would like to congratulate Mykeljon Winckel, Sally Sumner and the team there on 200 editions celebrated this month and 15 years of operation. What an accomplishment!

The Business Association has enjoyed a wonderful working relationship with the E Local with our column that they include and have done for the last couple of years, and this magazine is such a wealth of knowledge with the articles that are included and a great read.

Here’s to the next 15 years and the next 200 editions

ANOTHER CHORUS BOX PAINTED:

We now have 9 Chorus boxes painted by Schools or Kindys in the Papakura Area and we welcome our new ones painted by Settlement Road Kindy on the corner of Settlement Road and Harper Street ( see picture ). Its called GIVE YOURSELF TIME and the design is 2 caterpillars, into two Chrysalids and then morphing into butterflies designed by the children of Settlement Road Kindy.
