Vern Reeve – Ray White Real Estate

Once you’ve met Vern Reeve, he’s someone you don’t easily forget. Always positive, approachable and genuinely engaging, Vern combines old-fashioned values of good manners, integrity and sincerity with decades of high-level professional experience.

A long-time Tuakau resident, Vern grew up in Mangere East and attended Otahuhu College, where his love for the arts, film and motorsport first took hold. With an engineer father, motorsport and mechanical precision were in his DNA, but Vern’s true professional strength has always been people. His ability to connect, build rapport and negotiate outcomes that work for everyone has defined a career spanning several decades.

Vern brings an extensive background in senior sales and marketing roles across major corporate environments, including Rothmans and their motor racing teams, the motor industry, and many years within the film, music and entertainment sectors. These industries honed his commercial acumen, strategic thinking and high-level negotiation skills—qualities that now directly benefit his real estate clients.

With over 14 years in real estate, Vern is a highly experienced negotiator who understands market dynamics, buyer psychology and the importance of timing, presentation and strategy. He is known for calmly navigating complex negotiations and consistently achieving strong results for both vendors and purchasers.

Vern knows the district “like the back of his hand.” While based in Tuakau, he successfully markets and sells property throughout the Northern Waikato region, including Pōkeno, Mercer, Pukekawa, Hampton Downs and Te Kauwhata, with a particular specialty in Hampton Downs apartment sales.

After commencing his real estate career with Harcourts, Vern is now a senior member of Southern Corridor Realty Group, owners of five Ray White offices. He was instrumental in opening the Tuakau office alongside Ted Ingram before transitioning to the Pukekohe office, where he continues to be a trusted and respected senior sales professional.

A well-known and well-liked local identity, Vern’s relaxed, approachable style and authentic passion for his hometown resonate strongly with clients. His extensive database of loyal clients and friends repeatedly return to him, many having trusted Vern with multiple property transactions over the years.

Deeply committed to his community, Vern is currently a Ward Councillor with Waikato District Council and brings nearly 12 years of experience in local governance. He has also served as Chairperson of the Tuakau District Development Association, Trustee of Tuakau Emergency Services, and is an active member of Tuakau Rotary.

Vern has two adult children living overseas who share his passion for cars and motorsport. He enjoys life with his wife and soul-mate, Vicky, on their half-acre property in Tuakau. When time allows, they can be found exploring New Zealand by campervan, catching up with friends along the way.
