Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson has called for the United States to immediately end all aid and special arrangements with Israel, arguing that Washington's relationship with the country is damaging America's international standing.
The comments were made during an interview with Israeli Channel 13.
Carlson said:
"I think we should stop all aid to Israel, all special deals for Israel. Tomorrow."
He also argued that the United States has no obligation "to lend its moral authority" to Israel.
Carlson criticises current US policy
During the interview Carlson criticised US involvement in the recent conflict involving Iran and accused Washington of becoming too closely tied to Israeli actions.
He stated:
"I am disgusted by the way that Israel treats Arabs, like animals or subhumans,"
and argued that Israel had:
"lost its morality."
"Because of the US-Israeli war against Iran, Washington’s relationship with West Jerusalem, while well-intentioned, is hurting the US very badly," Carlson said.

"We can't afford it, and our standing in the world has declined, and we're implicated in some of the many crimes Israel has committed," he said.
Growing divide within MAGA movement
Carlson added that he blames President Donald Trump for:
"folding under pressure from Benjamin Netanyahu"
and pulling the United States into a war with Iran that he described as:
"bad for the United States."
Despite previously being one of Trump's strongest media supporters during his re-election campaign, Carlson has increasingly criticised the administration on foreign policy.
Others who have publicly raised concerns include:
- Marjorie Taylor Greene
- Candace Owens
- Alex Jones
The debate increasingly centres around whether the "America First" movement should maintain a more isolationist approach or continue supporting broader overseas commitments.
Larger debate continues
Carlson's remarks arrive as debates continue across the United States over foreign aid spending, military involvement overseas and America's long-term strategic priorities.
Supporters of continued US support for Israel argue that the alliance remains critical for regional security and broader American interests.
Critics argue that foreign commitments are increasingly creating political divisions at home and placing greater strain on US resources.
