A conservative legal advocacy organisation in the United States is calling on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to investigate whether the abortion drug mifepristone should be added to a federal watch list of potential drinking water contaminants.
Liberty Counsel Action (LCA) has submitted testimony and a 41-page submission to the EPA's Science Advisory Board requesting that mifepristone be included on the agency's Contaminant Candidate List 6 (CCL6), a list used under the Safe Drinking Water Act to identify substances that may warrant future monitoring or regulation.
