French authorities have launched an investigation into the death of Daniel Siad, a fashion industry scout whose name appeared thousands of times in files relating to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. French prosecutors have confirmed that Daniel Siad, a 69-year-old fashion industry scout linked to the late Jeffrey Epstein, has been found dead outside Paris.
According to French media reports cited by RT, Siad was discovered unresponsive in his kitchen on Monday by a 28-year-old woman who lived with him. Prosecutors have opened an investigation to determine the cause of death, with an autopsy expected to form part of the inquiry.
Investigation Underway
At the time of his death, Siad was reportedly the subject of an active criminal investigation by French prosecutors.
The inquiry followed multiple complaints, including allegations of rape, and had been assigned to a specialist office responsible for combating human trafficking.

RT reports that the files contain more than 2,000 references to Siad, including correspondence in which he allegedly suggested models to Epstein, requested money, and exchanged sexually explicit jokes.
The publication notes that the documents themselves do not constitute criminal convictions but have attracted renewed public scrutiny because of Siad's association with Epstein.
Another Associate Dies Before Trial
RT notes that Siad is not the first person connected with Epstein to die before legal proceedings concluded.
Jean-Luc Brunel, founder of a modelling agency reportedly financed by Epstein, was arrested in France in 2020 on allegations including rape and child sex trafficking. Brunel died in prison in 2022 while awaiting trial. French authorities ruled his death a suicide.
Jeffrey Epstein himself died in a New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. His death was officially ruled a suicide, although it has continued to attract public scrutiny because of his extensive connections with wealthy and influential figures.
Despite years of investigations, witness testimony and document releases, no official Epstein "client list" has been published, and no high-profile associates have been charged with crimes directly linked to Epstein's trafficking operation.
