Fauci Declines Senate Interview
Senator Ron Johnson says Fauci's attorney has informed his investigative subcommittee that the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases will not participate in a closed-door, transcribed interview concerning the US response to COVID-19.
Johnson argues that significant questions remain about pandemic decision-making and says his subcommittee will continue seeking Fauci's records and interviewing people who worked with him.
According to the report, Fauci's lawyer characterised attempts to compel another appearance as potentially harassing or degrading Fauci for political purposes.

He described himself as “absolutely livid” about the changes and said the final story had become so heavily qualified that it was effectively incomprehensible.
Moran said he has never watched the finished report again because he no longer regarded it as his work.
Why Fauci's Involvement Matters
If Moran's account is accurate, the central question is not simply whether ABC exercised normal editorial caution.
News organisations routinely submit sensitive reporting to lawyers, editors and standards departments before publication.
