Having bought her first house in Papakura, she has lived in and around the area ever since and has extensive knowledge of what’s going on in an area growing at an ever-increasing rate.

Alison has a background in the legal profession, having trained and worked as a legal executive as well as an office manager for over 27 years. Changes in the market place present challenges that Alison relishes and there have been a lot of adjustments over the last 12 months mainly driven by the banks and the government with introduced legislation.
“The market peaked a few years ago and the government has done everything it could to slow down the market to bring back first home buyers. The introduction of anti-money laundering laws and the extension of the Brightline; from 2 to 5 years has meant that investors were holding back and both buyers and sellers are getting better value and opportunities with what is currently available. Recently my customers have been predominately first home buyers, Mums and Dads looking to downsize and retire and those wishing to take advantage of their Kiwisaver funds as deposits. I am finding that all these groups have renewed and fresh confidence in the market which makes it a great time to sell”.
