Connecting You to Your Rural Lifestyle Dream

with Jason Tabrum – Rural & Lifestyle Sales Expert

Jason Tabrum has experienced some extremes in his career, most recently from working in and around the city of Perth. Traditionally known for its mining industry, it can be a hard environment. Tabrum though, excelled in his chosen career of real estate, working for a boutique agency in Wembley, selling high end properties and has learnt from the best in his industry. Returning to Pukekohe, he is ready to ensure that when you list with him or are looking for your perfect rural lifestyle property, he will leave no stone unturned to help you connect to your rural lifestyle dream.

The decision to return to Pukekohe was an easy one for Tabrum, his family are here, his parents Peter and Glenys have run a successful menswear business in the main street since the 1980’s and his girlfriend Ruby wants to follow her dreams in early childhood and has recently secured a position in Karaka.

“I have always thought that Pukekohe and the Franklin area had a real sense of community and I wanted to reconnect with that. Perth is a great city and I learnt a great deal, but Pukekohe is my home and knowing the area and the industry so well, I feel I have a lot to offer people who are wanting to buy or sell here.”

Growing up in the area, attending local school, playing rugby right through the grades, Tabrum has quickly assimilated himself back with all his old connections and is active in a number of local community groups and activities, including signing up again to play for his old rugby club of Onewhero.

“I was always active as a youngster, right through until I left for Perth really, and the area gave me so much growing up, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to grow and now that I am back, it makes sense to get involved once again.” Getting back involved also means that Tabrum has re-established his connections with Nick Bates from Barfoot and Thompson, one of NZ’s leading Real Estate Brands, A kiwi company, owned by two families, the ethics and standard of professionalism are second to none and they are something Tabrum models his own on.

“Nick sold me my first property and it was from there that I developed a love of real estate. I went through an intensive training programme when I started and I have since learnt a lot more from my overseas experience, but I knew that to make sure I could offer my clients the very best in both systems and support joining Barfoot and Thompson was the logical choice. Agents are encouraged to work collaboratively instead of competing against each other, the IT and technical systems are state of the art and that means that the client comes out the ultimate winner!”

It is well known that the Franklin area is a relative hot spot for real estate due to the enormous growth it has and will continue to experience and Tabrum feels demand for lifestyle and rural properties in the area will continue to grow

“This area has so much to offer if you are looking for a rural or lifestyle property, and with the growth, new and up coming areas, are starting to be discovered as well as the old more traditional rural areas. People will always be on the move for any number of reasons and my experience in both the NZ and Perth markets gives me that extra edge when it comes to marketing a property to get the best value for clients. NZ, for example still has a market that moves pretty quickly, but it is still important to not jump for the first offer. Perth, on the other hand, was a market that was experiencing a much longer turnaround time, where how and where of marketing and correct positioning of a property was even more important to get right or you were in danger of being passed over. My clients however, enjoyed an average from me of 28 days, rather than the overall Perth average of 78 average days on the market” Jason says.

Tabrum is in his 9th year of real estate and is at a point now in his life where he believes he can offer his clients the best of both worlds. He has been through the training systems of two recognised real estate brands including becoming and working as a licensed auctioneer, has experienced the two ends of the spectrum in terms of markets, plus those in between. He has been involved as both a seller and a buyer, but is still young enough to understand the demands placed on first time and perhaps reluctant buyers and sellers coupled with a youthful energy and enthusiasm that is unmatched.

Having recently sold a property in Onewhero, (within his first two weeks on the job) he is already collecting a number of seriously good listings that he encourages people to come and view or to contact him for a free risk free price appraisal of their own home to see what difference he can make to establishing or continuing with their own rural lifestyle dream.

“People are always surprised at the difference I can offer. I’m a thorough, enthusiastic individual, motivated constantly to get the very best for my clients, I have a proven track record of doing that overseas and I’ve come home now to do that for my own community. Call me, you won’t be disappointed, let me help you realise your rural lifestyle property dream.”
