Secure your copy of elocal today and get it mailed to your letterbox

I had an email last month from a reader in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia who wanted to check on the whereabouts of his elocal from his home address in Pukekohe as his sister mentioned she hadn’t received one for a few months and he was disappointed as she would send them to him in Jakarta and he would pass them to the expat kiwis to read and there were thoroughly enjoyed. We know that hundreds of you mail your elocal to friends and family around the country, but we didn’t know just how far that went! Even though elocal is available on the internet at www.elocal.co.nz many people still want to read a hard copy. The feel of a magazine in your hands just can’t be beaten and the flip of the pages is for some part of an essential relaxation routine.

But with every story of someone who receives and enjoys their monthly elocal, I field hundreds of calls every month from folks who for one reason didn’t get their copy of elocal. Some are in areas that we can’t cover due to NZ Post rules, some missed out because it wasn’t dutifully retrieved before the rain doused their letterbox. Very occasionally we have a rouge deliver agent who doesn’t do their job but that is not very often. We have even had neighbours pinching each other’s because they featured in a story.

To ensure that everyone gets a copy that wants one, we wanted to offer a better alternative to our readers and offer them the chance to have their elocal mailed directly to them each month. So, you will find inside this magazine a form that you can rip out, fill in and post back or simply ring us on 09 2391699 ext 1 and we can take your details over the phone. There is a small cost to cover costs and postage, but by doing so, will make sure you receive the elocal every month straight after it is printed directly to your door. It will also protect you against any future lockdowns and potential supply issues when we simply can’t deliver the magazine using the traditional channels. You can even organize a gift subscription to a friend or family member. So don’t delay and make sure you get your own elocal copy delivered every month.

“I stumbled across the elocal some years ago while home of leave and have since become an avid fan. The historical articles are always fascinating & ageless, so I keep a few in the car for those frustrating Jakarta traffic jams. Equally a favourite on coffee tables within the expatriate Kiwi community and a great way to stay connected with Home – the elocal is welcome & an enjoyable respite from mindless Social media – thoroughly recommended - elocal love it !!” Darrell Wolf (Jakarta Indonesia).
