The only 100% locally owned and produced free to home publication in Franklin

by Mykeljon Winckel

elocal, is 100% locally owned, unlike other publications in the area. The whole team, including owner Mykeljon live locally and buy locally, we like to support local businesses, because you support us. Every month, the team at elocal work tirelessly to bring you stories that will interest, educate and sometimes confront you about issues that our national media tend to shy away from. We are and always have been owned by locals, and this means we will always publish as much as we can to celebrate the great things happening in our community and address the issues. We always get feedback, from both sides, in support and against from a lot of the stories we run and we love to get that feedback. Trouble is, space in each issue is always in hot demand and so it is difficult each month to let everyone read the feedback we get by printing every letter. Last month we dedicated two pages to just a smidgen of the letters to the editor that we received, and the two pages were incredibly well received and amongst the most frequently read pages online. This month, we have just don’t have the room, but with the launching of our new look web site, we will be able to add to our ever popular printed magazine, include all the letters that we want and also run old favourite series for you to read again, or share with friends who may not be in our distribution area. All of this adds up to an exciting time of growth here at elocal, new look site, digital advertising opportunities, fantastic new products whilst still retaining all the great regular features and business advertorials the community loves to read. So, what are you waiting for? Get in touch and find out how your business or community group can benefit from the new look elocal.. You can find us at www.elocal.co.nz or email editorial@elocal.co.nz or ring in on 09 239 1699 (and yep, that’s a local number) 😊 or pop in and see us at 64 Edinburgh St, Pukekohe.
